Vietnam Coping with Recent Covid Outbreak

In light of the recent COVID-19 outbreak, Vietnam’s Ministry of Health extended the mandatory quarantine period to 21 days from the previous 14-day requirement from May 5 after several patients, who came from abroad, tested positive after completing the requirement.

As the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam increases due to the 121 local infections recorded since April 27, authorities in many localities, especially major cities, have begun conducting regular patrols to ensure their residents complying with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.

Vietnam received a batch of 1,682,400 COVID-19 vaccine doses provided by the COVAX Facility at an airport in Hanoi on May 16, 2021 as the second shipment since April.

NRM's plant in Hai Duong has taken strict measures to prevent COVID and has seen zero cases up to the present.
